چکیده

Aim: We aimed to compare the results of photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and femtosecond-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis (FS-LASIK) procedures treatment myopia myopic astigmatism.
Material Method: Seventy eyes 35 patients with and/or astigmatism who had undergone PRK procedure were compared retrospectively 70 FS-LASIK procedure.
Results: All completed 2-year follow-up period. With respect age sex, groups comparable. The differences uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), corrected (CDVA), spherical equivalent significantly better than at 6- 24-month visits. similar values safety index, efficacy predictability 6 24 months postoperatively. No significant complications observed neither during Conclusion: Both seem equally effective options for correction astigmatism. However, provided slightly refractive outcomes

Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) Retreatment of Residual Refractive Errors after Laser in Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK)

Laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) is the most frequently performed corneal refractive procedure. Despite technological improvements, residual postoperative refractive errors are still an issue that needs to be dealt with, especially when they interfere with the patient ́s quality of life. Retreatment after LASIK is commonly performed by lifting the flap created during the first operation foll...
